La Bamba

Biographical story of the rise from nowhere of early rock and roll singer Ritchie Valens who died at age 17 in a plane crash with Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper. La Bamba is a 1987 American English-language Biography Drama movie starring Esai Morales, Danielle Von Zerneck, Rosanna Desoto, Elizabeth Pe A, Joe Pantoliano, Lou Diamond Phillips and Rooney Paris. La Bamba was Produced by Bill Borden and Taylor Hackford. The movie is written and directed by Luis Valdez. Columbia Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. La Bamba was released on 24th July 1987 and takes a screen time of 108 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. La Bamba was made on a budget of $6 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $54 million. Cinematography was done by Adam Greenberg and editing by Sheldon Kahn and Don Brochu. The music was composed by Los Lobos along with Miles Goodman and Carlos Santana.
