Revolution Studios was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) A.m. Ratnam. Kushi is written by S. J. Surya and Rajendra Kumar and it is directed by S. J. Surya. Sri Surya Films acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Kushi was released on 26th April 2001. The movie made a box office gross of ₹23 crore. Cinematography was done by P. C. Sreeram and editing by B. Lenin, V. T. Vijayan and Kola Bhaskar. The music was composed by Mani Sharma.
