Kung Fu Monster

Set in the final years of the Ming Dynasty, when the nation is gifted a rare creature by the Bruneian Empire. A member of the Imperial Secret Police is tasked to tame the beast but realising that it is a kind creature by nature, he releases it from the palace and then elopes with the daughter of a man executed on false charges. His action prompts the palace to put a hefty bounty on the creature and now martial arts masters are hunting for it, hoping to earn the bounty. Kung Fu Monster is a 2018 Cantonese-language Action Fantasy film starring Louis Koo, Chen Xuedong, Bao Bei er, Zhou Dongyu, Bea Hayden, Cheney Chen and Yinger. Media Asia Films in association with Bona Film Group and Film Unlimited. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Derek Yee, Mandy Law and Peggy Lee. The movie is directed by Andrew Lau. Media Asia Distributions acquired the distribution rights for the film. Kung Fu Monster was released on 3rd January 2019 in Cantonese and Mandarin languages and takes a screen time of 100 minutes. The music was composed by Chan Kwong Wing along with Wan Pin Chu.
