Kulam

The film depicts a story of political intrigue and betrayal within the Venad kingdom, where Thampi plans to assassinate the rightful heir to the throne while being infatuated with a woman who is in love with someone else, leading to a series of tragic events. Kulam is a 1997 Indian Malayalam-language Action Drama film starring Suresh Gopi, Bhanupriya, Jagathy Sreekumar, Elias Babu, Bharath Gopi, Mullanezhi and Vijayaraghavan Pillai. The movie is based on Marthandavarma by C. V. Raman Pillai. Usha Priya Movie Makers was the production house involved in the project. The film is written and directed by Lenin Rajendran. Usha Priya Movie Makers acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Kulam was released on 6th February 1997. The screenplay for the movie was written by Lenin Rajendran. Cinematography was done by Madhu Ambat and editing by B. Lenin and V. T. Vijayan. The music was composed by M. G. Radhakrishnan along with Mohan Sithara.
