Kanagarathna Movies was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Singanamala Ramesh. The movie is written and directed by S. J. Surya. Geetha Arts acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Komaram Puli was released on 10th September 2010 and takes a screen time of 163 minutes. Komaram Puli was made on a budget of ₹40 crore. Cinematography was done by Binod Pradhan. The music was composed by Ar Rahman along with A. R. Rahman.
