The story revolves around Nishimiya Shoko, a grade school student who has impaired hearing. She transfers into a new school, where she is bullied by her classmates, especially Ishida Shouya. It gets to the point where she transfers to another school and as a result, Shouya is ostracized and bullied himself, with no friends to speak to and no plans for the future. Years later, he sets himself on a path to redemption. Written by Ariodito Koestoer Koe no katachi is a 2016 Japanese Japanese-language Animation Drama motion picture featuring Miyu Irino, Saori Hayami, Aoi Y Ki, Kensh Ono, Y Ki Kaneko, Yui Ishikawa and Daiki Yamashita. The movie is based on A Silent Voice by Yoshitoki ima. Kyoto Animation was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Eharu Hashi, Shinichi Nakamura, Mikio Uetsuki, Toshio Iizuka and Kensuke Tateishi. The movie is directed by Naoko Yamada. Shochiku acquired the distribution rights for the film. Koe no katachi was released on 9th March 2017 and takes a screen time of 130 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Reiko Yoshida. Cinematography was done by Kazuya Takao and editing by Kengo Shigemura. The music was composed by Kensuke Ushio.
