In 5th century AD, the Roman Empire is leaving Britannia, prompting the native Woads to rebel with Merlin as their leader, while Arthur and his Sarmatian knights, along with their Roman commander, are asked by Bishop Germanus to rescue a Roman family from enslavement, leading to a journey where Arthur becomes disillusioned with Roman life but ultimately defeats the Saxons, marries Guinevere, and vows to protect the Britons from future invaders. King Arthur is a 2004 English-language Action Adventure motion picture featuring Clive Owen, Keira Knightley, Stellan Skarsg Rd, Stephen Dillane, Ray Winstone, Hugh Dancy and Damion Dixon. Touchstone Pictures in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Films, World 2000 Entertainment and Green Hills Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jerry Bruckheimer. King Arthur is written by David Franzoni and directed by Antoine Fuqua. Buena Vista Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. King Arthur was released on 15th July 2004 and takes a screen time of 126-142 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. King Arthur was made on a budget of $120 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $203 million. Cinematography was done by Slawomir Idziak and editing by Conrad Buff and Jamie Pearson. The music was composed by Hans Zimmer.
