An 11-year-old Indian boy copes with the loss of his father, moving to a new village, and navigating the challenges of growing up, while his single mother struggles to balance her job. Killa is a 2014 Indian Marathi-language Comedy Drama film starring Archit Devadhar, Parth Bhalerao, Gaurish Gawade, Atharva Upasni, Amruta Subhash, Archit Deodhar and Dweep Kachrekar. Essel Vision Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Nishant Roy Bombarde, Alan Mcalex, Vishesh Agrawal, Sajid Mansuri, Akshay M. Musle, Madhukar R. Musle and Ajay Rai. Killa is written by Tushar Paranjape and directed by Avinash Arun. JAR Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Killa was released on 26th June 2015 and takes a screen time of 107 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The motion picture made a box office gross of ₹10 crore. Cinematography was done by Avinash Arun and editing by Charu Shree Roy. The music was composed by Naren Chandavakar along with Benedict Taylor. At the 2014 Berlin International Film Festival It won an award for Generation Kplus - Best Film. At the 2014 Berlin International Film Festival It also won an award for Best Feature Film. At the 2015 National Film Awards It also won an award for Best Feature Film in Marathi. At the 2015 National Film Awards It also won an award for Special Mention.
