Shirdi Sai Creations was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) P. K. R. Pillai. Khalifa is written by Gulshan Bawra, Nabendu Ghosh, Anand Romani and V. R. Gopalakrishnan and it is directed by Prakash Mehra and Priyadarshan. Shirdi Sai Films acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Khalifa was released on 1st January 1976 and takes a screen time of 179 minutes. Cinematography was done by S. Kumar and editing by N. Gopalakrishnan.
