Kempa

Kempa is an action thriller film about Santosh seeking revenge for his sisters tragic rape, going on a killing spree to eliminate soldiers and notorious gangsters, ultimately becoming an underworld Don, but the suspense lies in whether he can break free from the cycle of violence and live a peaceful life with his girlfriend. Kempa is a 2009 Indian Kannada-language Drama motion picture featuring Sudeep, Ragini Dwivedi, P. Ravi Shankar, Sharan, Girish Karnad, Ashok Kheny and Santhosh. The movie is based on Singam by Hari. Shankar Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Shankar Gowda and Halappa. Kempa is written by Anil Kumar and Mrugashira Shrikanth and it is directed by Sudeep. Shankar Productions acquired the distribution rights for the film. Kempa was released on 9th January 2009 and takes a screen time of 141 minutes. Kempa was made on a budget of ₹8 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Sudeep. Cinematography was done by Krishna and editing by N.M. Vishwa. The music was composed by Filmfare Award winner Gurukiran Shetty along with Arjun Janya.
