Keeping Up with the Steins is a 2006 English-language Comedy motion picture written by Mark Zakarin and directed by Scott Marshall and produced by A.d. Oppenheim. A 13-year-old boy uses his upcoming bar mitzvah to reconcile the strained relationship between his father and grandfather. Keeping up with the steins features Daryl Sabara in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Jami Gertz, Jeremy Piven, Larry Miller, Garry Marshall, Daryl Hannah and Sandra Taylor. The music was composed by John Debney. Cinematography was done by Charles Minsky and editing by Tara Timpone. The film has a running time of 99 minutes. Keeping Up with the Steins was made on a budget of $5 million and at the box office it grossed only $4 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Miramax Films.
