Katti Batti is a movie about a college love story between Madhav and Payal, who live together for five years before Payal unexpectedly leaves, and Madhav later finds out she is dying of cancer before they reconcile and spend the last few months of Payals life together. Emmay Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Nikhil Advani and Siddharth Roy Kapur. Katti Batti is written by Nikhil Advani, Anshul Singhal and Nikkhil Advani and it is directed by Nikhil Advani and Nikkhil Advani. UTV Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Katti Batti was released on 17th September 2015 and takes a screen time of 135 minutes. Katti Batti was made on a budget of ₹32 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹23 crore. Cinematography was done by Soumik Mukherjee and editing by Maahir Zaveri. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Ehsaan Noorani along with Loy Mendonsa, Shankar Mahadevan, Shankar Ehsaan Loy and Gulraj Singh.
