Katha

A girl named Chitra, who endures the tragic loss of her family and witnesses a murder in an asylum, refuses to accept disbelief and finds solace, purpose, and a pursuit for justice in a remote town as a teacher in a childrens school. Katha is a 2009 Indian Telugu-language Drama Crime movie starring Ajith Kumar, Nayanthara, Navdeep, Piaa Bajpai, Jayaram, Suman and Adith Arun. The movie is inspired from Main Hoon Na by Farah Khan. Ayngaran International Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Urmila Gunnam, K. Karunamoorthy and C. Arunpandian. Katha is written by Ganga Raju Gunnam, Urmila Gunnam, S. Ramakrishnan and Raju Sundaram and it is directed by Srinivas Raga and Raju Sundaram. Ayngaran International acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Katha was released on 12th December 2009 and takes a screen time of 140 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Raju Sundaram, Farah Khan, Abbas Tyrewala and Rajesh Saathi. Cinematography was done by Arjun Jena and editing by V. T. Vijayan. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
