The 1981 Indian film follows the modern interpretation of the classic folktale of The Hare and the Tortoise, in which a middle-class clerk secretly falls in love with his neighbour, but his smooth-talking friend woos her, and after some drama, the clerk offers to marry her. Katha is a 1983 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama film featuring Naseeruddin Shah, Farooq Shaikh, Deepti Naval, Jalal Agha, Valerie Agha, Tinnu Anand and Hemu Adhikari. Katha was Produced by Suresh Jindal. The movie is directed by Sai Paranjpye. Katha was released on 1st January 1983 and takes a screen time of 141 min. The music was composed by Raj Kamal.
