Kate, an assassin working for her mentor Varrick, faces a moral dilemma when hesitating to kill a yakuza officer with a child, leading to inner conflict and later discovering she was poisoned by someone she trusted, ultimately seeking revenge and uncovering a betrayal orchestrated by Varrick, which ends with her teaming up with Kijima to take down their mutual enemy, resulting in Varricks death and Kates tragic demise due to her poisoning. Netflix acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Kate was released on 10th September 2021 and takes a screen time of 106 minutes. Kate was made on a budget of $25 million.
