A dreamer named Leopold invents an elevator design but is urged by his disapproving uncle to marry a wealthy heiress, until he meets Stuart, a physicist from the future who takes him to the year 2001; there, Leopold befriends Stuarts ex-girlfriend Kate, and after a series of adventures in New York City, they fall in love and ultimately discover that Kate is Stuarts ancestor. Kate & Leopold is a 2001 American English-language Comedy Fantasy motion picture starring Meg Ryan, Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Breckin Meyer, Natasha Lyonne, Bradley Whitford and Ty Copeman. Konrad Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Cathy Konrad. Kate & Leopold is written by Steven Rogers and James Mangold and it is directed by James Mangold. Miramax Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Kate & Leopold was released on 20th December 2001 and takes a screen time of 123 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Kate & Leopold was made on a budget of $48 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $76 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by James Mangold and Steven Rogers. Cinematography was done by Stuart Dryburgh and editing by David Brenner. The music was composed by Rolfe Kent.
