A young man named Kashi is deeply inspired by the success story of Ram Sen, a former beedi seller turned wealthy man, and becomes determined to achieve greatness by selling cigarettes, earning the nickname Kash due to his intense passion for smoking. Kash is a 2014 Indian english-language Fantasy motion picture featuring Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Sathish, Souman Bose and Akshay Kapoor. Lyca Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Allirajah Subashkaran and K. Karunamoorthi. The movie is written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss. Ayngaran International acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Kash was released on 1st January 2014 and takes a screen time of 161 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Kash was made on a budget of ₹70 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹150 crore. Cinematography was done by George C. Williams and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. The music was composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
