Karuththamma

A woman named Mokkatha gives birth to her third daughter in a village where female infanticide is common, prompting a school teacher to save the baby and flee; years later, one of Mokkathas other daughters falls in love with a veterinarian, while her first daughter is married into a harsh family that forces her to have male children, leading to her death and prompting her sister to seek justice with the help of the veterinarian and a doctor, ultimately avenging her sisters death and safeguarding her nieces before leaving with the police, while the veterinarian waits for her. Karuththamma is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language Drama Romance motion picture starring Raja, Rajashree, Maheswari Jayakrishna, Rajshri Nair, Periyadhasan and Sunderarajan. Vetrivel Creations was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bharathiraja. The movie is directed by P Bharathiraja. Vadivel creations acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Karuththamma was released on 3rd November 1994 and takes a screen time of 153 minutes.
