Shri Sai Raam Creations was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Am Rathnam, A. M. Rathnam and S. Aishwarya. The movie is written and directed by R. Panneer Selvam and R. Panneerselvam. Picture Box Company acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Karuppan was released on 29th September 2017 and takes a screen time of 138 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Karuppan was made on a budget of ₹20 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹40 crore. Cinematography was done by K. A. Sakthivel and editing by V.
