Kartoos

A cop trains a criminal and implants a transmitter in his leg to track his movements while they work together to eliminate a notorious don. Kartoos is a 1999 Indian Hindi-language Action Crime movie featuring Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala, Gulshan Grover, Anna Edwards, Aparajita and Sudha. The movie is inspired from La Femme Nikita by Luc Besson. Base Industries Group was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Firoz Nadiadwala. Kartoos is written by Robin Bhatt and Anand Vardhan and it is directed by Mahesh Bhatt. Warner Bros. Television Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Kartoos was released on 7th May 1999. Kartoos was made on a budget of ₹8 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹7 crore. Cinematography was done by Bhushan Patel and editing by Waman Bhonsle. The music was composed by National Award winner Anu Malik along with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Bally Sagoo.
