Kaithi Rani is a 1986 Indian Tamil-language Drama movie starring Rani Mukerji, Vivek Oberoi, Anuradha, Sarath Babu, Shakeela and Silk Smitha. Madras Talkies in association with Yash Raj Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bobby Bedi, Yash Chopra, Mani Ratnam and Aditya Chopra. The movie is directed by Shaad Ali. Kaleidoscope Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Kaithi Rani was released on 1st January 1980 and takes a screen time of 139 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Mani Ratnam. Cinematography was done by Anil Mehta and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. The music was composed by A. R. Rahman.
