In a community of martial artists, a rulers husband challenges her belief in the innocence of the Ten Villains, resulting in their rivalry and his paralysis, leading to the ruler training a disciple as her successor, while the Ten Villains plan to groom the rulers son to become the greatest villain, and 18 years later, the son and the disciple face each other in a martial arts contest and ultimately triumph against challenges and defeat the main antagonist, leading to their marriage and a happily ever after ending. Jueh doi shuen giu is a 1992 Cantonese-language Action Adventure movie starring Andy Lau, Brigitte Lin, Man Cheung, Kuo-chu Chang, Hon-chiu Chow, Hiu-hung Fong and Linlin Mao. The movie is inspired from Juedai Shuangjiao by Gu Long. Win s Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Stephen Shiu. The movie is directed by Eric Tsang. Newport Entertainment Ltd. acquired the distribution rights for the film. Jueh doi shuen giu was released on 12th November 1992 and takes a screen time of 102 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $30 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Stanley Wu and Cheuk Hon. Cinematography was done by Jingle Ma, Ray Wong, Peter Ngor, Joe Chan, Ardy Lam and Poon Hang-sang and editing by Kwong Chi-leung and Kam Ma. The music was composed by Lowell Lo along with Sherman Chow.
