Johnny

A con artist named Johnny helps his father steal alongside his friend and falls in love with singer Archana, while a barber named Vidyasagar falls in love with a homeless orphan named Bhama who is ambitious and unsure of her feelings, leading to a series of mistaken identities and crimes until the real Johnny reveals himself, reunites with Archana, and the fake Johnny is arrested by the police. Johnny is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language Action Crime movie starring Rajinikanth, Deepa, K. Balaji, Sridevi Kapoor, Surulirajan, Unnimary and Subashini. K. R. G Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) V. Gopinathan. Johnny is written by Anuraag, Brij Bihari and J. Mahendran and it is directed by J. Mahendran. K. R. G Productions acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Johnny was released on 1st January 1984 and takes a screen time of 139 minutes. Cinematography was done by Ashok Kumar and editing by A. Paul Duraisingham. The music was composed by National Award winner Ilaiyaraaja.
