After being released from a mental institution, teenage girl Su-mi returns home with her father and younger sister, facing a strained relationship with their stepmother and experiencing strange events that escalate to a violent seizure and sightings of a ghost, ultimately unveiling Su-mis dissociative identity disorder and tragic family history. Janghwa, Hongryeon is a 2003 Korean Korean-language Drama Horror movie starring Im Soo-jung, Moon Geun-young, Yum Jung-ah, Kim Kap-soo, Soo-jung Lim, Yum Jung Ah and Hyeon-gyeong Chu. B.O.M. Film Productions Co. was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Oh Jeong-wan and Oh Ki-min. The movie is written and directed by Kim Jee-woon. Cineclick Asia acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Janghwa, Hongryeon was released on 22nd August 2003 and takes a screen time of 114 minutes.
