In a rural village in Kerala, chaos and violence erupts when a buffalo escapes during a hunt, causing villagers to turn on each other and highlighting the primal nature of violence. Jallikattu is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language Crime Action motion picture starring Antony Varghese, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sabumon Abdusamad, Tharikida Sabu, Santhy Balachandran, Jaffer Idukki and G.k. Kattappana. The movie is inspired from Maoist by S. Hareesh. Opus Penta was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) O. Thomas Panicker. Jallikattu is written by S. Hareesh and R. Jayakumar and it is directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. Friday Film House acquired the distribution rights for the film. Jallikattu was released on 18th October 2019. The Film was successful at box office. Jallikattu was made on a budget of ₹4 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹25 crore. Cinematography was done by Girish Gangadharan and editing by Deepu S. Joseph. The music was composed by Prashant Pillai.
