Jaatiswar

A Gujarati man falls in love with a Bengali radio jockey and must learn Bengali to win her over, but his journey to study the language and a 19th century folk poet takes a tragic turn. Jaatiswar is a 2014 Indian Bengali-language Biography Drama film featuring Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jisshu Sengupta, Swastika Mukherjee, Abir Chatterjee, Rahul Banerjee, Ananya Chatterjee and Carl Wolf. Jaatiswar was Produced by Reliance Entertainment And Rana Sarkar. The movie is written and directed by Srijit Mukherji. Jaatiswar was released on 17th January 2014 and takes a screen time of 150 minutes. Jaatiswar was made on a budget of ₹4 crore. Cinematography was done by Soumik Haldar and editing by Bodhaditya Banerjee and Pronoy Dasgupta. The music was composed by National Award winner Kabir Suman Chattopadhyay along with Kabir Suman. At the 2014 National Film Awards It won 5 awards including: Best Male Playback Singer, Best Makeup Artist, Best Music Direction, Best Costume Designer and Best Playback Singer (Male).
