A film about Police Commissioner Suryadev Singh, his granddaughter Kajal, and their battle against Suryadevs vengeful cousin Vishambar, who hires a young man named Karan to kill Kajal but ultimately fails in his attempts, leading to Kajal and Karan falling in love and overcoming various obstacles. Jaan is a 1996 Indian Hindi-language Action Romance motion picture starring Ajay Devgn, Amrish Puri, Twinkle Khanna, Shakti Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, Ajay Devgan and Pinky Chinoy. Beyond Dreams Entertainment in association with Inspire Films Private Limited. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ashok Ghai. Jaan is written by Kamlesh Pandey and Ranbir Pushp and it is directed by Raj Kanwar. Suneha Arts acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Jaan was released on 17th May 1996. The Film was successful at box office. Jaan was made on a budget of ₹4 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹17 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Ranbir Pushp. Cinematography was done by Harmeet Singh and editing by Waman B.Bhosle. The music was composed by Anand Milind.
