A detective is investigating the death of a man who died during a shipwreck while on his way to marry his childhood friends daughter, whose mother behaves strangely after her sons death, while a mystery surrounding his death unfolds and a romance blossoms between the detective and the daughter. R. Khan. Jaal is written by Moni Bhattacharjee, Dhruva Bhattacharya and Ehsan Rizvi and it is directed by Moni Bhattacharjee. Kapurchand & Co. acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Jaal was released on 1st January 1967 and takes a screen time of 156 minutes. Cinematography was done by Apurba Bhattacharjee and editing by Das Dhaimade. The music was composed by Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar along with Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma and Laxmikant-pyarelal.
