A dedicated Police Commissioner, Joginder Singh, faces numerous challenges in his profession and family life, including the release of Kalicharan due to his sons mercy plea, the abduction and molestation of his daughter, and mistakenly killing a man out of grief and anger, as the story explores the influence of time and events on society and highlights Joginders crucial role in maintaining order and the resilience he displays in confronting these challenges. Itihaas is a 1987 Indian Hindi-language Drama Family movie featuring Raaj Kumar, Shabana Azmi, Rati Agnihotri, Anil Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, Mohnish Bahl and Sunil Dhawan. Itihaas was Produced by Tito and Navjeevan Productions. Itihaas is written by Gyandev Agnihotri, N.s. Bedi, Krishna Dehlvi and Krishna Dehlvi As Krishan Dehlvi and it is directed by V. Joshi and Joshiy. Navjeevan Productions acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Itihaas was released on 27th March 1987. Itihaas was made on a budget of ₹5 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹6 crore. Cinematography was done by Jal Mistry and editing by Waman B.Bhonsle, and Gurudutt Shirali. The music was composed by Rahul Dev Burman along with R.d.burman.
