Two young boys from Dublin embark on a journey to retrieve a stolen white horse, encountering adventures and confronting their past along the way, before being reunited with their father and finding closure as a family. Into the West is a 1992 English-language Adventure Family film featuring Gabriel Byrne, Ellen Barkin, R Aidhr, Ciar N Fitzgerald, Ciarán Fitzgerald, Rúaidhrí Conroy and Sean O donovan. Channel Four Films in association with Majestic Films International, Miramax Films and Parallel Film Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jonathan Cavendish, Tim Palmer and Gabriel Byrne. Into the West is written by Jim Sheridan and David Keating and it is directed by Mike Newell. Entertainment Film Distributors acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Into the West was released on 23rd October 1992 and takes a screen time of 97 minutes. Into the West was made on a budget of $50 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. Cinematography was done by Newton Thomas Sigel and editing by Peter Boyle. The music was composed by Patrick Doyle.
