Illalu is a family drama that follows the story of a married couple with a son, where the wife leaves to marry an older man, causing conflicts over the custody of their child and highlighting the importance of family and relationships. Illalu is a 1981 Indian Telugu-language Drama motion picture featuring Sobhan Babu, Suhasini, Pallavi, Jayasudha, Satyanarayana Kaikala, Sridevi Kapoor and Tadepalli Lakshmi Kanta Rao. The movie is inspired from Masoom Man Woman and Child by Erich Segal. Babu Arts was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) G. Babu. Illalu is written by Satyanand and directed by Rama Rao Tatineni and A. Kodandarami Reddy. Illalu was released on 9th April 1981. The screenplay for the movie was written by A. Kodandarami Reddy. Cinematography was done by B. S. Lokanath and editing by J. Krishna Swamy. The music was composed by Chakravarthy.
