A retired horror writer with dementia lives in Massachusetts where strange events occur in her house, leading to the discovery of an old novel about a real murder, eventually resulting in the revelation of betrayal and the manifestation of ghosts, leaving new tenants watched over by a deceased nurses spirit. I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House is a 2016 English-language Thriller Horror motion picture starring Ruth Wilson, Bob Balaban, Lucy Boynton, Paula Prentiss, Brad Milne, Daniel Chichagov and Mellanie Hubert.
