Writer James Baldwin tells the story of race in modern America with his unfinished novel, Remember This House. I Am Not Your Negro is a 2016 English-language Documentary movie featuring Samuel L. Jackson, James Baldwin, Harry Belafonte, Marlon Brando, George W. Bush, Dick Cavett and Malcolm X. The movie is based on Remember This House by James Baldwin. Velvet Film in association with Artemis Productions and Close Up Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) R Mi Grellety, H Bert Peck and Raoul Peck. I Am Not Your Negro is written by James Baldwin and Raoul Peck and it is directed by Raoul Peck. Magnolia Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. I Am Not Your Negro was released on 16th February 2017 and takes a screen time of 95 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. I Am Not Your Negro was made on a budget of $1 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $8 million. Editing was done by Alexandra Strauss. The music was composed by Alexei Aigui. At the 2017 Berlin International Film Festival It won an award for Documentary Film. At the 2017 Berlin International Film Festival It also won an award for Panorama.
