Prem is sent to Calcutta to retrieve a family heirloom stolen by his brother, where he teams up with a tangewala and takes down a group of illegal businessmen to ultimately retrieve the lost item and win over the heart of a seductress. Howrah Bridge is a 1958 Indian Hindi-language Musical Thriller movie starring Ashok Kumar, Madhubala, Ashok Kumar Ganguly, K.n. Singh, Om Prakash Chibber, Madan Puri and Chaman Puri. Shree Shakti Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Shakti Samanta. Howrah Bridge is written by Ranjan Bose, Vrajendra Gaur and Vrajendra Kaur and it is directed by Shakti Samanta. Shree Shakti Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Howrah Bridge was released on 15th June 1958 and takes a screen time of 153 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of ₹1 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Ranjan Bose. Cinematography was done by Chandu and editing by Dharamvir. The music was composed by O. P. Nayyar.
