An American intelligence officer goes undercover in post-war Japan to infiltrate an American gang led by Robert Ryan who have been dishonorably discharged, specializing in stealing arms and ammunition, and falls in love with a Japanese woman named Mariko Nagoya who helps him complete his mission, leading to the gang being brought to justice and the couple being reunited.
