An American intelligence officer goes undercover in post-war Japan to infiltrate an American gang led by Robert Ryan who have been dishonorably discharged, specializing in stealing arms and ammunition, and falls in love with a Japanese woman named Mariko Nagoya who helps him complete his mission, leading to the gang being brought to justice and the couple being reunited. House of Bamboo is a 1955 American English-language Crime Drama movie starring Robert Ryan, Robert Stack, Shirley Yamaguchi, Cameron Mitchell, Brad Dexter, Sessue Hayakawa and Everett Weaver. 20th Century Fox was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Buddy Adler. The movie is directed by Samuel Fuller. 20th Century Fox acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. House of Bamboo was released on 28th August 1955 and takes a screen time of 102 minutes. House of Bamboo was made on a budget of $1 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $1 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Harry Kleiner and Samuel Fuller. Cinematography was done by Joseph MacDonald and editing by James B. Clark. The music was composed by Leigh Harline.
