A man witnesses a murder but is betrayed and abandoned by his family; his son seeks revenge and gets justice with the help of the murderers daughter. Himmatwala is a 1983 Indian Hindi-language Action Comedy motion picture featuring Shoma Anand, Govardhan Asrani, Arun Govil, Jeetendra Kapoor, Satyendra Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor and Sridevi Kapoor. The movie is based on Ooruki Monagadu. Padmalaya Studios was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) G. A. Sheshagiri Rao and Krishna. Himmatwala is written by Kader Khan, K. Raghavendra Rao and Kadar Khan and it is directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. Sony Pictures Networks acquired the distribution rights for the film. Himmatwala was released on 28th March 1983 and takes a screen time of 150 minutes. Himmatwala was made on a budget of ₹1 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹89 lakh. The screenplay for the movie was written by K. Raghavendra Rao. Cinematography was done by K. S. Prakash Rao and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The music was composed by Bappi Lahiri along with Bappi Lahri.
