High School Musical is a 2006 American Hindi-language Comedy Drama film starring Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman and Chase Ramsey. First Street Films in association with Salty Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Don Schain. The movie is directed by Barbara Kopple. Buena Vista Television acquired the distribution rights for the movie. High School Musical was released on 20th January 2006. High School Musical was made on a budget of $4 million. The music was composed by David Lawrence.
