Sakthi dreams of becoming a superhero but gives up after learning that his inspiration, Shaktimaan, is fictional, and later, he teams up with a teacher to expose a corrupt company that controls innovations and brilliant students. Hero is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language Action Drama film featuring Sivakarthikeyan, Arjun Sarja, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Ivana, Abhay Deol, Siva Karthikeyan and Rishikanth. KJR Studios was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kotapadi J. Rajesh and T. Ezhumalaiyan. Hero is written by Savari Muthu, P. S. Mithran, Pon Parthiban and Antony Bhagyaraj and it is directed by P. S. Mithran. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Hero was released on 20th December 2019 and takes a screen time of 164 minutes. Hero was made on a budget of ₹50 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹12 crore. Cinematography was done by George C. Williams and editing by Ruben. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
