A boy and a girl find themselves stuck in a whirlpool of such intense love that they would do anything, go to any extent and face all odds for the one they love. Hero is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language Action Drama movie starring Sooraj Pancholi, Athiya Shetty, Aditya Pancholi, Suraj Pancholi, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Vivan Bhatena and Natasha Singh. The movie is based on Hero by Subhash Ghai. Salman Khan Films in association with Mukta Arts and Emmay Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Salman Khan and Subhash Ghai. Hero is written by Subhash Ghai, Nikhil Advani, Umesh Bist and Nikkhil Advani and it is directed by Nikhil Advani and Nikkhil Advani. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the film. Hero was released on 10th September 2015 and takes a screen time of 145 minutes. Hero was made on a budget of ₹36 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹34 crore. Cinematography was done by Tushar Kanti Ray and editing by Ritesh Soni. The music was composed by Armaan Malik along with Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani, Loy Mendonsa, Amaal Mallik, Meet Bros Anjjan, Sachin-jigar, Jassi Katyal and Sandeep Shirodkar.
