Rajesh falls in love with Meena, but their families disapprove due to their different social status; Rajesh then disguises himself as a servant to win the approval of Meenas family and ultimately reveals his true identity after being falsely accused of theft. Hero No. 1 is a 1997 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Musical motion picture featuring Govinda, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Shakti Kapoor, Satish Shah, Kader Khan and Yusuf. Digitalscape in association with K/O Paper Products, Darby Pop Productions, Allspark Animation and Polygon Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Vashu Bhagnani. Hero No. 1 is written by Rumi Jaffery and directed by David Dhawan. S. K. Enterprise Haslingden LTD acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Hero No. 1 was released on 21st February 1997. The Film was successful at box office. Hero No. 1 was made on a budget of ₹6 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹17 crore. Cinematography was done by K.S. Prakash Rao and editing by A. Muthu. The music was composed by Anand Milind.
