Heidi

Swiss girl Adelheid Heidi (Emma Bolger) is orphaned young. Aunt Detie (Pauline McLynn) brings her to Uncle Alp (Max Von Sydow), who lives isolated in the Alps since his murder charge. Heidi soon takes to the wild country, especially accompanying young goat herder Peter (Sam Friend). Uncle Alp refuses to send her to school in the city, but Aunt Detie returns and forces him to give in. She s sent to a posh lady in Frankfurt, where she ll be a companion for crippled daughter Clara (Jessica Claridge) after school hours. Written by KGF Vissers Heidi is a 2005 English-language Drama Family film starring Emma Bolger, Max Von Sydow, Geraldine Chaplin, Diana Rigg, Pauline Mclynn, Sam Friend and Peter Wight. The movie is inspired from Heidi by Johanna Spyri. Piccadilly Pictures in association with Surefire Films, Storm Entertainment, Suitable Viewing and Lux Vide. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Christopher Figg and Martyn Auty. Heidi is written by Brian Finch and directed by Paul Marcus. Storm Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Heidi was released on 19th August 2005 and takes a screen time of 104 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $0 million. Cinematography was done by Peter Sinclair and editing by David Rees.
