A professional thief and his crew successfully rob a large sum of money, but their actions lead to a series of events where the police investigate the robbery, a prostitute is murdered, and a final confrontation between the thief and the detective ensues. Heat is a 1995 American English-language Action Crime motion picture starring Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Tom Sizemore, Diane Venora, Amy Brenneman, Ashley Judd and Anthony Backman. Heat was Produced by Michael Mann and Art Linson. Heat is written by Michael Mann, Pieter Jan Brugge, Gusmano Cesaretti, Art Linson, Arnon Milchan and Kathleen M. Shea and it is directed by Michael Mann. Warner Bros. acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Heat was released on 29th February 1996 and takes a screen time of 170 minutes. Heat was made on a budget of $60 million and at the box office it grossed only $2 million. Cinematography was done by Dante Spinotti and editing by Dov Hoenig, Pasquale Buba, William Goldenberg and Tom Rolf. The music was composed by Elliot Goldenthal.
