Archana moves to a new city and befriends Kamal, mistaking him for Rakesh, despite Rakeshs attempts to come between them, resulting in a mix-up that leads to Kamals kidnapping, Kamal and Archanas marriage, and a subsequent rivalry between Kamal and Rakesh that ends with Kamal disappearing underwater, causing him to be mistaken for an imposter, arrested, and falsely accused of cheating and rape until the real Rakesh shows up, proving Kamals innocence and leading to a reconciliation between Kamal and Archana.
