A hot-headed hockey player named Happy Gilmore discovers that his grandmother has a large tax debt and he needs to raise money to save her house, so he starts winning golf bets with his powerful driving skills, eventually winning a tournament and securing a spot on the professional golf tour, but struggles with his attitude and putting until he gets help from a public relations head and falls in love with her, facing challenges but ultimately winning the championship and saving his grandmothers house. Happy Gilmore is written by Tim Herlihy and Adam Sandler and it is directed by Dennis Dugan. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture.
