Handaya

A young boy named Sena and his family face struggles including an abusive alcoholic father, but they persevere to heal and prepare their injured pony for a race, only for conflict to arise when their brother is kidnapped, leading Sena to overcome challenges and emerge as the winner, showcasing the themes of family, hope, perseverance, and the bond between humans and animals. Handaya is a 1979 Sinhala-language Drama movie featuring Henry Jayasena, J.h. Jayawardena, U. Ariyavimal, Sanjaya Abeygunawardana, Daya Alwis, Ekiyan Bacho and Ranjith Yainna. The movie is inspired from Story by Damith Totawatte. Handaya was Produced by Totawatte Salaroo. The movie is written and directed by Titus Thotawatte.
