Prince Hamlet seeks revenge for his fathers death and accidentally kills Polonius, leading to the death of himself, Claudius, Gertrude, and Laertes, resulting in Fortinbras becoming the new king of Denmark. Hamlet was released on 28th August 1997 and takes a screen time of 242 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Hamlet was made on a budget of $18 million and at the box office it grossed only $5 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Kenneth Branagh.
