The year is 1963, the night: Halloween. Police are called to 43 Lampkin Ln. only to discover that 15 year old Judith Myers has been stabbed to death, by her 6 year-old brother, Michael. After being institutionalized for 15 years, Myers breaks out on the night before Halloween. No one knows, nor wants to find out, what will happen on October 31st 1978 besides Myers psychiatrist, Dr. Loomis. He knows Michael is coming back to Haddonfield, but by the time the town realizes it, it ll be too late for many people. Soles and Tommy Lee Wallace. Halloween was Produced by Debra Hill. The movie is directed by John Carpenter. Compass International Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Halloween was released on 13th January 1980 and takes a screen time of 90 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Halloween was made on a budget of $10 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $80 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. Cinematography was done by Dean Cundey and editing by Tommy Wallace and Charles Bornstein. The music was composed by John Carpenter.
