Guys and Dolls is a 1955 American English-language Comedy Crime motion picture starring Marlon Brando, Jean Simmons, Frank Sinatra, Vivian Blaine, Robert Keith, Stubby Kaye and Harry Wilson. The movie is inspired from Guys and Dolls by Abe Burrows Jo Swerling Frank Loesser Damon Runyon. The film is based on the 1950 Broadway musical by composer and lyricist Frank Loesser, with a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, which, in turn, was loosely based on The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown and Blood Pressure, two short stories by Damon Runyon. Samuel Goldwyn Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Samuel Goldwyn. Guys and Dolls is written by Jo Swerling, Abe Burrows, Damon Runyon, Joseph L. Mankiewicz and Ben Hecht and it is directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The film has a running time of 150 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office.
