A teenage boy named Guppy takes care of his sick mother by selling ornamental fish and dreams of buying a wheelchair while becoming involved in a conflict with an engineer named Thejus who arrives to start a railway overbridge project. Guppy is a 2016 Indian Malayalam-language Comedy Drama film featuring Chethan Jayalal, Tovino Thomas, Sreenivasan, Rohini, Sudheer Karamana, Alencier Ley Lopez and Kiran Peethambaran. E4 Entertainment in association with A. V. A. Productions and Yopa Cinemas. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Mukesh R. Mehta, A. V. Anoop and C. V. Sarathi. The motion picture is written and directed by Johnpaul George. E4 Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Guppy was released on 5th August 2016. Guppy was made on a budget of ₹3 crore. Cinematography was done by Girish Gangadharan and editing by Dilip Dennis. The music was composed by Vishnu Vijay.
