Guna Sundari

Ugra Senan, the king of Dhara Nagaram, disapproves of his daughter Gunasundaris belief in the importance of a husband in a girls life and marries off her sisters, sending Gunasundari away with an aged pauper who is revealed to be a cursed prince, leading to a series of events including a quest for a rare gem to cure the kings illness, the husband being turned into a bear due to another curse, the gem being stolen by Gunasundaris brothers-in-law, and Gunasundaris prayers ultimately freeing her husband from his curses, prompting the king to realize his mistake and welcome Gunasundari and her husband back as the new King and Queen. Guna Sundari is a 1955 Indian Tamil-language Drama motion picture starring Gemini Ganesan, S. V. Ranga Rao, M. N. Nambiar, A. Karunanithi, T. P. Muthulakshmi, S.v. Ranga Rao and Savitri Kommareddy. Vijaya Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Alur Chakrapani, B Nagi Reddy, B. N. Reddy and A. Chakrapani. Guna Sundari is written by Pingali Nagendra Rao and Thanjai N. Ramaiah Dass and it is directed by Kamalakara Kameshwara Rao and K. Kameswara Rao. Vijaya Productions acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Guna Sundari was released on 15th June 1955 and takes a screen time of 15370 ft.
